I can't believe I'm saying this as a pretty dyed-in-wool Dinah/Mallet fan, but...that Dinah/Shayne kiss at the end was kinda hot! I figured we were headed in that direction, but I really wasn't expecting it at the moment. I really wonder how this will play out, and if Mr. Mallet will have some feelings on Marina's ex locking lips w/ Dinah .
Other than that, I agree w/ the rest of you - good show! I am thoroughly enjoying Shayne.
And the whole "can these two trees co-exist in the same house" was . I hope Olivia doesn't move out, b/c I could watch these two all day, if only to watch Olivia talk to Natalia's figurines!
But oh, is there going to be hell to pay when Bill finds out what Dinah did, now that he's trusting her so completely again....

Things certainly are looking up in the writing overall and I am glad to see hints of the classic feuding between the Spaulding's and the Lewis'. I enjoyed Billy and Alan sparring, and the hint of disdain and respect between the two of them. I was glad to see it pointed out that both will fight for their own, that is what makes them who they are.
Interesting to see Dinah actually realizing that she has created quite the mess. I am enjoying her interaction with Shayne. While I agree with those who are fans of Dinah being paired with Mallet, I am finding her relationship with Shayne quite interesting. Branson is excellent and if cutting some of the excess at the bottom off is going to allow more airtime to the seasoned vets including Branson, it is long over due.
Think about it! We are all in agreement that this was a strong episode all the way around. Why? Look at the characters we saw today. With the exception of Jessica Leccia and Branson, they were all GL vets, and powerful ones at that. Branson is seasoned, so I am not surprised that I like his Shayne, although I have always been a Spaulding woman! Okay, so I am surprised that I like Shayne because in the past, I found him to be of no real interest, but Branson is fantastic.
If GL continues to write for thees characters in a well thought out manner, then I think GL can rebound from its ratings woes. I have heard now from several persons that the writing is stronger, well thought out and focusing on the vets, so perhaps 2009 will bring good things!
