Previously - Ava asking Remy to go to San Francisco with her. Ava and Olivia with Christina overhearing. Shayne and Dinah kiss.
At Cedars, Remy walks in after a long shift. Ava is there.
She says he looks hot in his uniform. Remy laughs and says it's been a long day. It was hard but he saved lives right. Ava knows because he saved her after Max died. Ava sits down with Remy beside her. Remy starts to tell her about delivering a baby but stops. Ava says it's fine. She doesn't crumble anymore. She knows a lot of people walk on egg shells around her. She's doing a lot better now. She wishes that her Christmas wish could come true with all of them being a family at Christmas. Remy knows. Remy agrees to go to San Francisco. Ava is beyond excited. Remy says it's just for Christmas.
At the Spaulding Mansion, Bill calls Lizzie in China.
He hopes that her trip is going well. Bill drinks some scotch. He tells Lizzie that everything is all fine and good. There is nothing major wrong. Bill says bye just as Billy enters.
Billy warns Bill about his drinking with the trial coming up. Billy is worried that all the stress is setting Bill's recovery back. Bill says that he has it under control. He doesn't want to bother Lizzie with everything that is happening around here. Bill loves Lizzie too much to do that. Bill is going to find Lizzie's kidnapper and clear his name. If Billy doesn't like it then Billy can use the door. Billy looks at his son.
At the bar, Shayne and Dinah continue to passionately kiss.
Dinah smiles and laughs saying that Shayne definitely has his mojo going. Dinah and Shayne try to talk but it's awkward.
Dinah gets up out of Shayne's lap. Shayne says his mojo is fine. It's Dinah's he's worried about since she's involved in the kidnapping of his cousin, her brother and Bill is likely to do jail time. Dinah says thanks. She says that sometimes Shayne can be a real pain in the butt. Dinah has to go. She says it's better if they go their separate ways. She doesn't want to up the body count so to speak with her problems. Dinah wishes Shayne a . Shayne wishes Dinah the same as he watches her leave.
At Cross Creek, Jeffrey and Reva are trimming the tree.
Jeffrey says it's almost done. Reva says that Jeffrey has to hold off on that ornament. She wants Shayne to put it on the tree. Jeffrey says he has to go for a bit. There is a surprise knock at the door that shocks Reva. Josh thunders in grouching about the fact that Shayne has resigned up for his organization. They are going to ship Shayne out today. Reva is shocked by the news.

At the Farmhouse, Jeffrey arrives to find Olivia trimming the real tree.
Did she get the real tree? No that was Natalia's idea. Jeffrey says good for a second he thought Olivia was getting hijacked by Christmas cheer. Olivia says no. She's staying for Christmas. It's cozy and warm for Emma. After that they are returning to the Beacon. Ava walks in and is happy to see both of her parents.
Jeffrey tells Ava and Olivia that he's extending them an invitation to Christmas at Cross Creek. Ava says she can't. She's going to San Francisco with Remy. Remy agreed. Jeffrey questions if Olivia is happy about this. She is. Jeffrey says good. Ava says it's really good. She and Remy can have time together and figure it out.
At Remy's place, he walks in and finds the box that the sent to Christina for Christmas. Remy pulls out his phone and calls Christina.
It's the man whose still her husband. He tried to send a gift to his wife but it must have gone to the wrong address. It was sent back to him. He would love for Christina to call him. He hopes she is having a nice time with her friend.
At Cross Creek, Josh is grouching and complaining.
Josh says that Shayne can't go back to the warfront in his chair. Reva says that Shayne is not going to listen to Josh. Shayne is as stubborn as his father. Josh says that Shayne has to stay here for Christmas. He has to stay until he's healed. Josh says that Shayne lied to doctor about the car accident and the injury from it. To protect Josh. Josh is the reason for all for this. Reva tells Josh that it's not his fault. Reva reminds Josh that he told her to forgive herself for being guilty about not being there for her children. Josh says he doesn't practice what he preaches. Reva says that he was right. Josh has to let it go. It was an accident. Josh says that he can still see Shayne lying on the stretcher like he was all those years ago. Shayne comes into the house then.
Josh says that there is no way in heck that Shayne is leaving town. Josh is not going to let it happen.
Outside, Cyrus is getting out of his car when Dinah shows up.
Cyrus says it's good to see her. Dinah says that Cyrus said it was only a matter of time before Dinah's life was over. Cyrus tells Dinah to calm down. He's got a plan. Cyrus points over to the warehouse in the distance. Cyrus tells Dinah that is where the evidence is kept. Cyrus is going to scope it out.
He's going to watch the guards, cameras and any other goodies. What is he going to do infiltrate as Santa? Cyrus says that's funny. Cyrus is going to get in and steal the evidence. Therefore the prosecution will not have a case against Bill. Bill will be free and clear. Dinah tells Cyrus he better not screw it up. Dinah says another problem because after Cyrus lifts the loot then he will have it all. Whose to say that he will not use it against Bill. Cyrus says he can't talk. He leaves because he just spotted something. Cyrus leaves.
At the Spaulding Mansion, Bill is looking over paperwork.
Bill tells Billy that he's figured out who is crazy enough to pull this off and do it to him and Lizzie. Billy believes his son. Bill looks at his father shocked.
Bill tells Billy that Alan set it all up. He's behind Lizzie's kidnapping.
At Cedars, Remy arrives to see Loretta.
He has a Christmas Tree for her. Loretta thanks Remy. Remy questions if Loretta has heard from Christina. Loretta is surprised that Remy hasn't. Remy says that Christina went to see a friend. Remy had a present for her. Loretta says she has a good feeling about Remy. Remy brushes it off. Loretta says she will write the proper address down for Remy where Christina probably is.
At the farm, Ava hands her parents their Christmas gifts.
For Olivia a beautiful watch in the shape of a heart. Ava says that her mother tries to hide her heart but Olivia has one of the biggest hearts around. Olivia is beyond touched. Jeffrey questions what his gift is. Ava hands Jeffrey a medal. Jeffrey questions what this means.
Ava says that is for going into battle. She knows that he's afraid about being a father again but as soon as he sees his son he'll know what to do. He's the strongest man that she knows. Jeffrey is touched. Olivia says the best gift is just having their daughter home.
At the Spaulding Mansion, Dinah finds Bill looking at Alan's window as he's guzzling more booze.
Bill says that Dinah stopped him from confronting Alan but now Bill is questioning if that was the right idea. Dinah says that Bill has to listen to him. Alan is a very dangerous man. Bill says he's not afraid. He's not going to let Alan get away with it.
At Cross Creek, Josh is pissed when he realizes that Jeffrey was the one that helped Shayne leave.
Reva says that there is no way that Jeffrey would do that. Josh is pissed he says that Jeffrey doesn't care about Shayne because he has his own son on the way. Reva is pissed at that comment. Josh and Reva go at it as Shayne watches. Reva can't believe that Josh just said that. Does Josh think that Reva feels the same way? Reva says she's trying to respect her son's choices just like Shayne is respecting theirs. Josh has to have a little faith in his son. Reva feels overwhelmed and starts to pass out. Shayne tries to get to his mother but is blocked because of his chair.
Josh helps Reva to a chair. Reva says she's fine. She tells Josh and Shayne to stop fussing. Reva says that she's fine. Josh says that he wants to call Reva's doctor. Josh is going to go get help. Shayne says he'll stay with his mother. Josh says that is good but what if something happens to Reva. What if Shayne can't.... Shayne says he can do it. It's covered. Shayne says he's staying for Christmas but it's Shayne's call how long he stays afterwards not Josh's. Shayne knows that his father wants best. Josh agrees to back off for now but he's not backing off on Shayne getting out of that wheelchair. Reva is in tears watching Shayne and Josh.
What is wrong with her? Reva says that Josh and Shayne are so much alike that it takes Reva's breath away. 
At Remy's place, He has his bags packed.
Ava says that Remy seems distracted. Remy says that he has something he has to tell Ava. Remy has a wife. He's married? Not really they are going to be getting divorced soon. Remy explains the drunken nuptials. Where did he meet his wife? At the MCATs. Christina has always wanted to be a doctor. Christina has such a passion for it. Remy wishes he had the same passion. Ava says that Remy cares for Christina. Remy admits that he does. Remy says that Christina is a natural. She's smart and has sacrificed everything to go to medical school. Ava tells Remy that he won't be going with her after all. Remy can't go now. Remy looks at Ava.
At the farmhouse, Olivia is unpacking when she finds a huge box.
She pulls it out. There are letters from Rafe to Natalia.
There is a picture of Rafe and an address to their old place in Chicago. Olivia looks at the address and has an idea.
Outside the Spaulding Mansion, Dinah says that Bill has to listen to her.
Bill says that Alan is probably in his room laughing at them. He's probably counting the days till Bill's trial and going to prison. Dinah says that Alan is cold but Bill has to look at the facts. Alan does not have a motive for kidnapping Lizzie. Alan didn't know about the car accident. He couldn't have seen that happen or Bill's memory loss. Bill says Alan could have easily bribed a doctor. Dinah says that this was about Lizzie's kidnapping and not getting even with Bill. What would having Lizzie kidnapped accomplished for Alan? Bill would have had sole control of Spaulding. Alan never would have wanted that to happen. Bill wants to believe so much that Alan is behind Lizzie's kidnapping.
Dinah tells her brother that he has to get past this anger towards the Spauldings. Bill says he can't let Alan get away with it because that is what will happen. Dinah again tries to reason with her brother. Bill is certain that it's Alan. Bill leaves.
At Remy's he looks over at Ava.
She doesn't need saving anymore. She's o.k. She just wanted to make sure of one thing before she went to San Francisco. She wanted to make sure that Remy was o.k. He's going to be a doctor and he has a wife. He'll be alright. Ava tells Remy that he lights up when he talks about his wife. That passion Christina has for medicine, Remy has it for his wife. Remy and Ava sit down. Remy is worried about her. He's sorry for hurting her. Ava says that's not true. He needs to be happy. Remy says it's weird he always dreamed about her coming back into his life and them making a life. Ava says all she wants for Remy is for him to be happy and he is. Ava kisses Remy and leaves. Remy pulls out the piece of paper from Loretta.
At the Spaulding Mansion, Dinah suggests that they have Christmas together. Bill says he's busy. Dinah says they can hang out and not think about the kidnapping for one day. Bill tells Dinah he can't do that. Bill leaves.
Remy finds Christina sitting beside a grave.
Christina expected him to be halfway across the country now with Ava. Is she in the car waiting for him? Ava how did she know. Christina says she overheard Olivia and Ava talking. Ava's even more beautiful then her picture. Remy says that Ava's gone now. She's gone ahead. Remy says that he has too many things keeping him here in Springfield. Like his work right? That's is part of it. How did he find her? Loretta gave him the address. Christina says the grave belongs to her mother. She had such a smile that could light up a room. She was an incredible dancer and history buff. She hated thunder. Remy says hi and say's he's her son in law as he touches the grave. Remy says it's nice to meet Christina's mother. Christina touches Remy's hand.
Outside the courthouse, Jeffrey is accosted by Josh.
Josh is pissed that Jeffrey helped Shayne get out of the country. Jeffrey says he never did that. Josh says why not just toss his son and wheelchair into traffic. Jeffrey again says he didn't do anything for Shayne. Josh says that he's come to rest with the idea now that Jeffrey is going to be the one there for Reva. Jeffrey says that is awfully big of Josh. Josh says that is where it ends. Jeffrey stays the heck away from Josh's son. Josh is Shayne's father not Jeffrey. Shayne is off limits. Jeffrey better bloody well stay away from his son.
At Cross Creek, Shayne is sitting with his mother.
Reva knows that she wasn't there for her son. Shayne says Reva was sick. Reva says that is right. She has to learn to let the guilt go away. Josh will come around eventually. Shayne can't believe how guilty Josh still feels about the accident. Josh can't let go of the past. Reva says that Josh is so proud that he raised a boy to do such dangerous work. Shayne doesn't want to hear this. Reva says that Shayne is doing such heroic work. Shayne says he has to go. He will see Reva tomorrow for Christmas. Reva saved Shayne's ornament for him.
At the grave, Remy and Christina laugh as she opens her gift.
She loves that he got her a stethoscope. Christina tells Remy that her mother is the reason that she wanted to become a doctor and study medicine. Remy asks how Christina's mother died. Christina says it was Christmastime and they had just arrived home from shopping. Christina's mother was taking off her jacket when she felt a pain in her chest. She dropped to the floor. Christina says that she felt so helpless. It was cardiac arrest. Christina tried to save her mother but all she could do was call out for help. She's still haunted by the image of her mother dying on the floor. Christina tells Remy she was 15 at the time. Remy says it's hard to lose someone you love. Christina says she made herself a promise to help others like she couldn't help her mom.
Shayne is sitting by the pond when Dinah walks by.
Dinah was walking through. She wasn't following him. Shayne says it's fine. He wanted to invite her to a Christmas party. He wants her to go over to Reva's place? Dinah's not sure. Shayne asks Dinah to come back to Europe with him. He says it's hard to travel alone with the chair. Dinah's not sure. Shayne questions why she wants to stay with the mess that has been created. Shayne says there is no reason for her to stay and feel worthless. There is no reason to stay and beat herself up after everything that has happened. Dinah says that Shayne makes a good point after all. She will go with him back to Europe.
Reva and Jeffrey are putting tinsel on the tree at Cross Creek.
Reva laughs and says that is all the room the tree has. Jeffrey tells Reva about his lecture from Josh. He wants her to know that he would never help send Shayne out of town. Reva knows that. Jeffrey shows Reva the medal from Ava to show him that other men have gone into fatherhood and survived. Jeffrey tells Reva that he is not going anywhere. Reva says that having Shayne around gave her hope. Jeffrey understands because Ava did the same thing for him. Reva laughs and groans. Jeffrey looks at her. Reva says their son is kicking up a storm.
Jeffrey laughs as he feels the baby kick for the first time. Jeffrey pulls out a Santa hat and music for the baby. He can't wait to see his son. Reva says their son likes the music.
Preview - Jeffrey and Shayne going toe to toe. Jeffrey tells Shayne that Reva needs him to stay.
It gives her hope. Shayne says that Jeffrey of all people is trying to lay a guilt trip on him. Reva and Jeffrey find a gift by the tree as Shayne watches.
