Hi Sweetheart
Lizzie finds out about Coop then Phillip. Bill continues to toy with Lizzie though she’s not believing his lies. Beth and Buzz find out grave news about Coop. Buzz tries to work through his grief. Phillip takes care of Beth and finds out shocking news about Lizzie.
Previously - Bill pulling Lizzie into a kiss and she pushes him away. Buzz goes after Alan and finds out that Phillip is alive.
Bill and Billy are in the Beacon. Bill questions if there is any news on Coop. Coop is still in surgery. The Coopers are pretty torn up by the news. Bill says it’s a shock. One minute everything is fine then the next it’s not. Billy tells Bill that Coop was going to stop Beth’s wedding with Alan. Billy says that Coop and Beth had something going. Bill says that Lizzie must be shocked. Lizzie’s mom with her ex boyfriend. It would be a lot of her to find out.
Lizzie walks into Company and sees Daisy working. She seems to have lost her family at Alan and Beth’s wedding. She can’t find anyone. Where is Buzz? He’s probably at the hospital. Lizzie is shocked. Is Buzz alright? Was Lizzie at the wedding at all? Lizzie says that Bill was there drunk as a skunk. She followed him outside. Daisy doesn’t think that Beth married Alan. Why not? Coop must have done something stupid. Lizzie knew that this was going to happen. Lizzie has no clue then. Coop was on the way to break up the wedding in Buzz’s car. He was driving erratically and lost control. He was in a horrible car crash. Lizzie is stunned by the news. How bad is Coop? He’s in surgery right now.
Beth attempts to blot the blood off of her wedding dress. Rick arrives. He tells her to head home and rest. Beth says she can’t seem to get the stain out. It just looks worse. Coop is still in surgery. He will be there for a while. Beth is going to stay put and wait. Beth says this was not supposed to happen. She was going to marry Alan to protect Coop and his family. He wasn’t supposed to get hurt. Rick says it was an accident. Beth is not so sure. It was good that Phillip rescued Coop. Why is Phillip back? Rick is not sure. He hasn’t been in contact with Phillip for a long time. Beth doesn’t believe Rick.
Buzz tries to attack Alan but Phillip stops him. Phillip tells Buzz to calm down. Buzz is not surprised that Phillip is there defending his father. He always does. Why is Phillip even there? Is he part of the reason behind the accident. Is he Alan’s alibi? Buzz looks down and sees blood on Phillip’s hands. He was the one that saved Coop. Coop said it was a person in a red shirt. Was it Phillip ? Did he save Coop?
“ Only love ….”
Billy walks around Bill’s room and sees the big bottle of booze. He’s not drinking this. It’s just for show. He always pours it down the drain. Bill needs it just in case Lizzie’s shows up. They have to keep thinking he’s a worthless drunk so he can get the evidence that Cyrus was behind Lizzie’s kidnapping. Why not tell Lizzie his plan? She would never believe him. She would never understand why he went to the mountain to find Phillip but instead found his memory? It sounds like a crock. He can’t ask her to trust him. He has to prove that she can. He has to prove that Cyrus was the kidnapper. Bill says he was the main suspect until the building with the evidence went up in smoke. Billy says this is a dangerous idea making people think he’s a drunk. Billy still has not lived down that reputation in work. Bill says he’s going to keep doing it. He’s pretty stubborn. Must make him a Lewis.
Rick tells Beth that he has not seen Phillip in a very long time. They have no clue why he came back to town. Is he normal? Rick is not his doctor but he’s not the same as he was last time. He seems better which would be incredible. He only chatted with Phillip for 5 minutes. Beth no clue how she feels about Phillip being home. He tried to kidnap the kids before. Rick knows because the same thing happened to Jude. Rick says that he helped Phillip after he got shot because he believed that his friend had changed. Rick says that Phillip is still their best friend and they love him.
Buzz pulls back and sees the blood on Phillip’s hands. Phillip did what any person should have. He had no clue it was Coop till he pulled him out of the car. Is Phillip hurt? The car was burning. Phillip is fine. Alan says that it’s Coop’s own fault that he is in the hospital. He was foolish and reckless to try and come after Alan and his wife. Coop was a fool to think he could have changed things. Phillip should have just kept driving and let Coop burn. Phillip looks at his father and steps back. Buzz walks up and punches Alan in the mouth.
Buzz tells Alan that there is no way that he will get away with Coop’s accident. Phillip tells Buzz to back off. Phillip tells his father to leave. Alan will head inside. He would call the cops since Buzz is trespassing but all the Coopers are cops. Phillip again tells his father to leave. Phillip will take care of it. Buzz says it’s not over. What is Phillip doing back in Springfield? Phillip knows he was gone a long time. Phillip knows he was off track the last time. Off track? Buzz chuckles at the understatement. Phillip is not the same man he was last time when he left. Who is he then? Phillip tells Buzz to go back to the hospital and be with his son. Phillip asks if Harley is o.k. He wants Buzz to tell her that he’s not going to hurt her. He just wants to see Zach again. Buzz laughs and says that Harley is gone. She’s halfway around the world. Buzz is glad that Harley missed this reunion. Buzz warns Phillip that Alan can’t hide forever.
Daisy is working at Company when Ashlee shows up. It’s awful news. Thank Daisy for calling her. How is Coop? He’s in surgery. They can close Company and head over. Daisy just wants to wait and take care of the place. Ashlee realizes that Daisy is avoiding her going over. Ashlee knew that Coop had moved on with a new woman. She is probably over there worried about Coop. It’s probably not the best spot to meet at the hospital. Daisy says that she needs to tell Ashlee who it is since Ashlee knows her. It’s Beth. Beth? Ashlee doesn’t know any Beth. Daisy says it’s Lizzie’s mother Beth. It sounds weird but Coop seemed really happy with her. Ashlee read about Beth and Alan’s wedding in the newspaper. Coop was on his way to break it up when he had his car accident. Daisy had this romantic table for two set up for them. It was supposed to be so romantic now Coop is in surgery. Nothing is turning out right. Bill and Lizzie are a mess. Lizzie won’t even talk to him. Ashlee questions where is Grady? Daisy didn’t have a chance to call him. She called Ashlee. Ashlee was connected to Coop just like Daisy is connected to Grady. Daisy says it would be too hard for her family to deal with him as well as Coop. It’s way too familiar with the accident last year that killed Tammy. Alan is involved again. It’s not really good for Grady to be around.
Phillip walks into the mansion and looks around. He smiles. He walks over and sees an old picture of himself, Beth and Lizzie. He picks it up for a second then puts it back on the mantle. He walks upstairs to the study. He looks over the balcony at the whole living room.
Lizzie arrives at Cyrus’ place. She calls out his name. Is he home? Just then she hears a sound and sees Bill falling out an open window on the side of the house. What the heck is Bill doing inside Cyrus’ place?
Beth walks into the house still in her wedding dress. She walks over and pours a glass of scotch. She takes a long sip then feels someone watching her. She looks up and sees Phillip.
Ashlee is helping Daisy work at Company. Ashlee wants to help. Daisy says she doesn’t have to do it. She can go and check on Coop. Daisy can go instead. Daisy promised Buzz she would watch over the place. Ashlee doesn’t want it to be weird between her and Beth. Ashlee says she’s the reason that it ended with Coop. She always thought that maybe down the line….Daisy says that a lot changed with the surgery. Coop will be fine. Maybe this thing with Beth will not work out and Ashlee can have a second chance. Coop will be fine. Buzz walks in and says that Coop is fine. He has to go and make some food. Ashlee is going to go over to the hospital. Daisy is going to watch over her grandfather. Buzz works in the kitchen. He pulls out some potatoes and starts working. People are not going to expect him to feed them. Buzz says what about the people who are waiting over at Company. They have to eat. Buzz could have stopped the accident. He didn’t have to let Coop go. He told Coop to go. Buzz gave him his damn keys. He told him to follow his heart and reach out to the woman he loved. Daisy thinks that is very romantic. Buzz isn’t so sure now.
Alan walks into Cedars. Rick can’t believe that Alan would have the nerve to show his face around there. Is he coming to rub it in Coop’s face. No Alan wants to talk about Phillip. Phillip always turns to Rick first. Rick has no clue why Phillip is back. Did he come back to crash the wedding? Rick has only talked to Phillip for a couple of minutes. Alan wants to know everything that Phillip told him. Rick and Phillip have been through a lot together. He is still his best friend. Alan asks if Phillip is sane again? Rick is not his doctor but so he can’t say for sure. Rick leaves and Alan follows.
Beth sees Phillip as he walks down the stairs. She doesn’t have to be afraid of him. She’s not. Why did she take off at the hospital then? She wasn’t ready to see him yet. She even knew back then that he was alive. She knew he would come back. He just never expected to come back on the day she was marrying his father. Beth says that Phillip has no right to judge her. A lot has changed since he left. Phillip heard. Beth and Coop? Beth and Alan along with Payton? Beth and Rick? She’s not ready to talk about that yet. Does Lizzie know that she’s involved with her ex boyfriend? Lizzie knows. Beth needed him. She did what she had the last couple of years to survive and protect their children. They needed Phillip. She knows she’s made a lot of wrong choices. Phillip says after what he put Beth through he’s got no reason got judge her. Phillip tells Beth she can’t take all the blame. Alan has always wanted her. Phillip says that is wrong on so many levels yet it is very Alan at the same time. Beth says she was going to marry Alan to save Coop. She never meant to hurt him. She has made a lot of mistakes. Was Coop a mistake? No not at all. He made her feel alive and happy and now he’s in the hospital fighting for his life. How is James? He’s been sent away. We … Alan decided it was best. He’s at Lincoln Prep School. Phillip says he should have been there to protect Lizzie. Beth says that Lizzie really needed him. Beth tried to do the right thing with her daughter and reign Alan in. When Lizzie had the baby…. Phillip gets up. Lizzie had a baby. He’s a grandfather. How did the baby die? They thought the baby was dead but Sarah is alive. Who is the father? Jonathon Randall, one of Reva’s sons. Jonathon took Sarah away to protect her from Alan. Beth didn’t do a good job at all while he was gone. Beth tries to leave but Phillip stops her. She never has to apologize to him about anything. He’s sorry he left her to deal with everything after what he did. Phillip pulls Beth into his arms and comforts her. He lightly strokes her hair. Phillip wants to take Beth somewhere. He takes her up the stairs. She still has blood on her dress.
Lizzie asks Bill what he stole from Cyrus’ place. He didn’t steal anything. Why was he there then? To plant evidence on Cyrus. He wants Lizzie to find it so she will doubt Cyrus. She trusts Cyrus right now more than anyone. Bill can’t seem to get why she trusts Cyrus more than Bill. Bill starts to say something but stops. Lizzie starts rummaging through Bill’s pockets to make sure he didn’t steal anything. She instead find the pic of herself and Phillip when she was younger. Where did he get this? Bill leaves. Lizzie runs after him. She asked him a question . Where did he get the pictures? Has he been in contact with Phillip? Phillip left it behind at the cabin. Bill thought it was a good idea to find Phillip with the way that Alan was controlling Lizzie. Maybe Phillip could knock some sense into his daughter. Bill found out where Phillip was living but just missed him. He found the pictures instead. Lizzie didn’t ask him to do that. Bill was desperate. He though it was a good idea. Bill says that Lizzie has been different since the kidnapping. He doesn’t have to save her. She’s fine. He can go back to his drinking and stay the heck out of her life. Lizzie turns and leaves.
Buzz walks out of the kitchen with a box of food. Daisy asks if he meant what he said about doubting if he did the right thing by telling Coop to follow his heart. Coop is in surgery now because of it. He encouraged him to go after the woman he loved. Buzz keeps on seeing his face so alive so proud now… Buzz picks up the box of food and leaves for Cedars.
Alan walks after Rick at Cedars. Alan asks what exactly Phillip told him. Phillip pulled a gun on Alan at the grave site. He looked like he was going to shoot Alan. Rick quips it’s not the first time someone has tried to kill Alan on his wedding day. Alan wants to know if Phillip is all there. Rick says that Phillip may have brought the gun for self defence since Alan did shoot him the last time they saw each other. Alan says Phillip actually thanked him for doing it. What has Phillip been doing? Rick would know more than anyone else. Rick says they have spoken for a couple of times. Phillip had to finish some things. Why did he come home on Alan’s wedding to Beth? Is that a chance happening? No it was because of Lizzie. Bill came to Rick asking about Phillip. Rick suggested a couple of places where Phillip could be. If Bill is the reason that Phillip is home. It’s a good thing so far. Phillip saved Coop and Beth from marrying Alan on the same day. He’s there to clean up some mistakes. Rick says that is enough so far that his friend is back.
Phillip leads Beth to her bedroom. He wants to help her. There is still blood on her dress. She can take care of herself. Phillip knows that. He just wants to help her. Phillip starts to undo the wedding dress. He thought about all of his kids while he was gone. Rick kept giving him updates but it became too painful after a bit. James must be a man now. He looks so much like his father. Phillip still can’t believe that his daughter had a baby. He can’t wrap his head around that concept. She’s been through a lot. She was kidnapped a couple of months ago. She wasn’t hurt physically. There were no people captured though Bill was a prime suspect. Does Beth think that Bill could have done it? Beth doesn’t think so. Phillip should have been there to protect his daughter. He pulls out a lavender robe for Beth. He helps her pull it on. Is he going to stay this time? Phillip pulls back. She should get back to the hospital. He will hope for the best for Coop. Phillip leaves and Beth breaks down sobbing.
Buzz is at the hospital with the food. He’s lost. Beth calls his name. There is no news yet. Is Buzz all alone? No, Marina Mallet and Frank are all in the cafeteria. Rick comes out. Coop is out of surgery and in recover. He’s resting. There was a lot of damage to his liver and internal bleeding. They tried to stop as much of the bleeding as they could. Coop is in critical condition. When will he wake up? Rick is not sure. He will try to stop in and check on Buzz. All they can do is wait now. Buzz turns to leave. Where is he going? What is Beth supposed to say to his family.
Alan is walking down the street and sees Bill. Bill is sorry he missed the wedding. It was eventful. Beth came to her senses and not marry Alan. Not yet. No, Bill got what he wanted. Phillip is back.
Lizzie looks over the crash site. Phillip walks behind her. He looks at his daughter and says hi sweetheart. Lizzie is stunned to see her father standing across from her.
Preview: Phillip saying hi sweetheart again. Olivia finds out that Phillip is back. Olivia vows to kill Phillip for real this time. Lizzie tells her father she wishes he was still dead.

Josh and Reva are walking in Cedars when they see Frank. What is going on? Coop was in a car accident. Reva is stunned. Will he be o.k? Frank is not sure.
Buzz is in tears as he asks Rick if he can save his son. Is Coop going to make it? Rick says he has a good team working with him. Can Buzz see his son for a moment? Of course. Buzz tells Coop that he’s there. Coop has to fight to live. Beth enters shaken at seeing her love on the table. How is he? Coop awakens to Beth’s voice. Where is he? He’s a Cedars. Beth is there a long with Beth. Did she marry Alan? No. Coop coughs and winces then says good. He did his job.
Alan and Phillip are still at the grave. Is Gus buried around here somewhere? Alan says no. Phillip is sorry that his brother is gone. He was a good guy. There were so many times after Phillip was shot that he felt as if he was dead. It is such a scary feeling. There were times he wished that he hadn’t survived the shooting. The future was so uncertain for him. Alan says he knows that. Phillip couldn’t stop. Couldn’t stop what son? Thinking about the life he left behind in Springfield. The family and his children. There is still a lot of unfinished business left to do. Phillip pulls a gun out of his pocket.
“ Only love ….”
Phillip caresses the gun in his hand as he looks at Alan. Alan tells Phillip to put the gun down. Phillip says right that is the first thing Alan talked to Phillip about. Don’t play with a loaded gun because always a chance it could go off. Phillip says they have a lot to catch up on. Alan has always regretted pulling the trigger on Phillip. He did it to save his son. He had no choice. He had to save Phillip from himself. Alan asks for Phillip to give him a chance to tell the truth. Phillip says he has a lot to catch up on. So Alan was going to marry Beth? Alan has taken care of Beth and the kids. He cares for them as if they were his own family. Does Beth love him? Not like she loved Phillip. Phillip agrees that Alan shooting him was for the best in the end. He was going down a very dark road that would have been the end of him. Alan saved him from himself. He just wished that the bullet hole didn’t hurt so much. Phillip says he’s not going to kill Alan today he has other things to take care of.
Beth and Buzz sit with Coop. What happened? He was in a car wreck. Coop says he’s sorry for doing that to Buzz’s car. Buzz says he can pay him back. Coop coughs and winces in pain. Did Beth marry Alan? No she didn’t. Coop did it. Coop asks for just a couple of minutes with Beth. Buzz leaves. Beth sits close. Coop tells her to stop sobbing. He reassures her that he will be fine. Beth says he’s such a crazy man. What was he going to do run up the aisle and punch Alan out? Perhaps. He couldn’t let Beth marry Alan. It wasn’t right. Beth says she’s not going to marry Alan now. Coop can still save her. He has to get well. Beth is in tears. Coop is reassuring her. Rick comes in and says that Coop needs to rest. Coop doesn’t want her to go. Beth says that he can rest. They will talk later. She’s not going to leave him again. Beth kisses Coop.
Buzz walks down the hallway and sees Reva and Josh. What can they do? Buzz says there was a car accident. Was there ice on the road? Coop was going to stop Alan and Beth’s wedding. Did Alan know? Buzz can’t think about that right now. He has to go and call his family. Have they seen Frank? He was just there a moment ago.
Dinah asks what Shayne bought for Lara for her birthday. It was a ring that he found. He was going to ask her to marry him. He was. Maybe Edmund would want the ring now. He’s going to be there soon. It’s just a ring. Nothing important. Dinah can’t believe that Shayne is even saying that. Edmund is not part of their love story. Edmund was Lara’s father. He can never learn the truth about the accident. Shayne knows that Edmund has done a lot of stuff. Dinah says yeah. He left her to die in a burning farmhouse. Edmund can charm and weasel a way into a persons life. Shayne gets irritated by Dinah and asks for the ring back. Dinah picks up her coat and leaves just as Edmund shows up at the door. Edmund asks how Dinah is. Dinah says that some people never change. Edmund smirks.
Josh and Reva are at Company. Reva is nibbling on some crackers. Dinah walks in and says there is trouble. It’s Lara’s birthday. Shayne was just in his apartment staring at the ring. Reva asks why Dinah didn’t stay and help Shayne. She tried to but he booted her out. He is getting way to close to Edmund each day. Josh agrees with that. Dinah says she needs some backup in order to take care of Edmund. Dinah has experience with Edmund. She knows personally what his scary side is. She doesn’t want Shayne to have to see that.
Edmund and Shayne are sharing a toast to Lara at Towers. Edmund says they should celebrate this day together every year. Shayne says that is a good idea. Shayne’s phone rings. It’s Reva. She was coming out of her chemo appointment and ran into Buzz Cooper. Coop was in a horrible car accident. Shayne may remember him. Reva started thinking about her own son. Shayne says he’s fine. Reva would really like to see her son. Shayne agrees. He tells Edmund he has to go. Edmund says thanks for the drink. Shayne leaves.
Buzz is waiting in the hallway when Frank shows up. Where was he? He had to check in the station. Any changes? Coop is awake. He’s heading to surgery. It’s really serious. Buzz asks all sorts of questions about the car crash. Does Frank know if the car was tampered with? The team is looking into that. Buzz has to stay focused right now. Frank tells his father that Alan did call Coop right before the accident. Buzz questions why Alan would do that.
Beth is outside in tears when Alan shows up. She tells him to stay back. She told him to stay away from her. Alan just wanted to make sure that Beth was o.k. He knows that it was very traumatic for her. How is her friend? He’s critical. Alan says he’s been praying with the minister. The minister? He’s in the car. Alan want to go back to the chapel and continue their wedding vows. Beth says they are finished. She will never marry him. Beth runs away.
Phillip walks up to Cedars. Rick is outside having a drink. How is Coop? He’s in surgery. Rick tells Phillip not to go in right away. Rick asks who came back his friend or the man who kidnapped his son. Phillip understands that. Phillip asks if Beth loves Alan. Rick says no. Beth actually loves Coop. Phillip says that makes sense with Beth’s reaction at the church. Phillip says that Rick left out a lot of stuff when he told Phillip what had happened the last bit.
Phillip questions if he heard that right with Rick and Beth. They were together for a bit. Alan was married to Beth the first time. She and Rick started as an affair. Rick has always loved Beth. Phillip knows that. Rick says he came to the realization it was just high school memories. Rick is sorry. He knows this is a lot for Phillip to digest. Phillip says the same thing happened to him while he was gone. He had a lot to digest and figure out who he was. He had to learn how to control that dark side. Phillip imagined a lot of scenarios coming back but not this. Rick gets that. It’s just blue skies and palamino ponies. Phillip says it’s good to see Rick. What is the plan? He wants to see his kids. The mothers are not going to let that happen. Phillip will get through to them eventually. Rick says he has to head back inside. He tells Phillip to leave before anyone sees him yet.
Beth is outside in tears. She can’t breathe. Alan shows up. Beth tells Alan to get away from her. He wanted to see her because he knew how upset she was. Beth says that Coop got into that car because of them. He wanted to stop the wedding. Alan says they are not to blame. Coop showed terrible judgment with trying to stop the wedding. Alan grabs Beth’s arm. If he loved her he would not be forcing her into this marriage. Beth is doing what is best. Coop was reckless. Was? Beth tells Alan not to do that. Alan says sorry that was slip of the tongue. Alan suggests getting out of there. She can’t talk or look at him right now. She is never ever going to let Alan touch her again. She doesn’t care what he does to her. She is not marrying him. Alan says all she needs is time.
Reva is at Company waiting with Josh when Shayne shows up. She’s not alone. She ran into Josh at the hospital. He was getting the permits for the new wing they want to work on. Shayne says that Reva could have talked to him on the phone. Reva wanted a hug from her son. Shayne realizes that Dinah spilled the beans about Lara’s birthday. She told them about the ring. Reva asks if he will tell them. No. They are not going to talk about that. Shayne wants to leave. Reva says that she ordered a cake. Chocolate. It’s still his favourite right. Just have one slice with them.
Dinah is at Towers. She orders a glass of red wine. She looks over and sees Edmund. Is she still not speaking to him? He was doing some work with Shayne today. He had to go see Reva. Dinah is sorry about Edmund’s daughter. It has to be a tough day for him. He does know how it will end right though for both of them. They are Lewis. Dinah and Edmund are not part of that perfect little circle. Edmund say Shayne is not like the others. They are working together. It gives them focus. Of course. Dinah remarks that the man behind Edmund is watching him. Edmund says actually Rock has been following him. Edmund invites Rock down. It’s been a while Mr. Winslow. Do they know each other? Edmund laughs not in the biblical sense but he’s an associate of Jeffrey’s and therefore not a friend of Edmund’s. Dinah says that is interesting since Jeffrey has been one of Edmund’s biggest champions yet he even has a man following Edmund. What does that say?
Buzz and Frank wait as Coop is pulled out for surgery. The nurse works on him. Frank remarks that a lot of cute nurses are around. Coop is sorry for the car. Buzz says it’s fine. Frank says Coop can borrow his car next time. Coop says not thanks to that offer. Coop winces as the pain becomes stronger. Frank questions did Alan call him? Yes. About Beth? Yes. He never made it to the wedding. They didn’t get married. At least not today. Coop did his job. Frank agrees that his brother saved Beth. Coop says a guy in a sweatshirt pulled him out of the car. He wants to thank him. He loves both of them. Tell Rocky the same thing. Frank says that Coop can tell his little brother that himself. Rick says it’s time to go. Coop is wheeled away. Buzz says he needs to walk and clear his head.
Beth is in tears outside as she sits on a rock wall. She looks down a the blood on her hands. In the distance Phillip watches her. Beth reacts when she sees Phillip. Phillip walks up and sits beside her. Beth can’t do it and runs away.
Dinah and Edmund are still at Towers. Dinah describes the man she found in Germany. He wasn’t walking or talking. She was the one that got him back to living. She thought that there may have been something there. Edmund is intrigued. Dinah learned though that she would never be accepted by the Lewis family. Bill is a Lewis doesn’t that change things. No. They will never trust her. They are tight knit family. Shayne is their golden boy. Edmund and Dinah will never be let into that inner circle. Edmund says that Shayne is his own man. He loved Lara. If Edmund trusted the Lewis family he would have told them about Lara’s pregnancy. Dinah told him not to. Dinah says that is not true. He doesn’t trust the Lewis family. Dinah gets that.
Reva, Josh and Shayne are eating cake. Shayne says that Reva is about to pop and have that baby. Reva knows that. She’s not ready to sing happy birthday to his baby brother yet. Did Lara like chocolate? She liked honesty. Would Shayne have come if they told him what was up? No. They care about their son and they all need him. Shayne’s phone rings. It’s Edmund. Edmund says that some high rollers from the embassy are coming to town. It would be a good way to get money for the care center. Shayne says he’d love to help but he’s at a doctor’s appointment right now. Shayne will call Edmund later. Edmund is not impressed as Dinah watches.
Beth walks in and sees Frank. Is she o.k. ? How is Coop? He’s gone into surgery. Beth had so much more she wanted to tell Coop. Frank says that she can talk to Coop when he gets out. She can talk to him later. He was in good spirits right before and cracking jokes. It’s a good sign. Beth agrees. He ’s going to be fine. Where is Buzz? He went out to clear his head.
Reva, Josh and Shayne sit at the table. What was her last birthday like? Shayne says that he got a ton of balloons and hid it in a tent. Edmund arrives outside and sees the close moment. She loved chocolate cake. He had all sorts of other treats for her. It was a feast. As the sun went down. Shayne took her toward the tent to be surprised. The problem was a pair of foxes had gotten inside and were eating the food. All Lara did was look at him and laugh. Dinah watches as Edmund is left out of the party.
Phillip arrives back at his grave site. He looks at it and shakes his head. Nothing makes sense.
Beth paces in the hallway as she waits. Rick shows up. Rick says that it will be a bit. Beth can go and rest. Beth tells Rick that she saw Phillip. What did she do? She just ran away. She didn’t say anything about them.
Alan is outside on his property when Buzz shows up. Buzz is furious. How did Buzz get through the gate? Buzz says that it’s Alan’s fault that Coop is in the hospital. Buzz say not it’s time for Alan to be in the hospital as well. Buzz lunges at Alan with a rock in his hand only to be stopped by Phillip. Buzz is stunned.
Preview: Buzz confronting Alan and asking if Phillip was a part of the accident.

Two words: Goose Bumps!!!
Today was awesome..get ready for a real treat...and even though we knew the spoilers..actually SEEING the moments were ELECTRIC...Phillip's entrance in that church had my heart pounding. You all will LOVE Beth's reaction...(before she faints)...it's so gothic and romantic...I literally had goose bumps. And we are left with a GREAT little cliff hanger!
GL is on fire again!!! , home, Phillip!

Good news!!! Thanks Thorny!
I read the post Wendy made and wondered if they were going to ruin the suspense with vague and uninteresting/unimportant scenes with Marina, but it sounds like not.
--------------------
Thornbirds Posted: Feb 10 2009, 02:50 PM
The Marina/Mallet stuff was brief...and it segued into Coop's accident...so the focus switched up quickly.
Characters today: PHILLIP , Rick, Alan, Beth, Lillian, Bill, Lizzie, Buzz, Frank, Coop, Mallet, Marina, Daisy.

wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 02:59 PM
Thanks Thorny, Sounds great.
Paula, I was thinking the same thing when I posted that last night.
I was so hoping I didn't have to see M&M too much today.

cihanl Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:07 PM
I can't wait to see Buzz! He's gonna need a and I'm sensing he's going to wonder why he never listened to a "vision". But first I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's reaction to Phillip...Wendy and Steph are watching right now. I wish I was too

stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:11 PM
So far. so good! We have Frank, Buzz and Daisy in the diner. Mallet and Marina at the adoption agency, the church with Lillian, Lizzie, Rick and Alan. Beth getting ready and Phillip coming on the scene of the accident.
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:13 PM
Loved Lillian trying to get everyone to talk Beth out of it.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:21 PM
I love Lillian trying to be the voice of reason. Rick also wants to stop Beth, but, she won't listen. Oh and the look and poor Beth's face!
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:30 PM
MY PHILLIP!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL at the preacher's face when Alan is saying his "vows".
Why is everybody just walking past Coop in the hospital?
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:31 PM
Because the only doctor and nurse are at the wedding?
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:32 PM
OMG!!! The perfect soapy moment when Phillip walks in the church!!
I honestly don't know what is up at Cedars!! Poor Coop!
I feel bad they missed Phillip's phone call at Company.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:33 PM
Paula, lots of Cedars staff are shown walking right past bloody Coop on a gurney!
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:35 PM
Poor Buzz He looked like he was going to have a heart attack when he was talking to Marina and she told him about the car.
I even felt sorry for Marina when she was telling him.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:41 PM
Marina isn't even bothering me today. The look on her face that Coop talked to Alan last before the accident!
Poor Coop, is still laying in the hospital unnoticed, calling Beth's name.
I can't believe in the middle of everything Alan says to Phillip, "Welcome home, son."
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:43 PM
Seriously? Alan says that? Seriously? I cannot wait to watch!
--------------------
Thornbirds Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:48 PM
Yes, he says that, Paula...
But tell me where are all these wedding guests that Alan wanted to prove to them that he and Beth are solid and back on track...What's the point of having a "BIG town wedding"...when no one is even there???? That was just silly (cheap!!)
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:49 PM
Typical Alan saying that.
Poor Phillip is completely lost. He has no idea why Beth took off when he mentioned Coop .
I was jumping up and down when Beth reached for Phillips face, fainited and then reached up again.
When Phillip was coming in Lillian so happy, Rick in disbelief, and Alan LOL just scowling.
RIck just stopped by .He just don't understand.
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:52 PM
Thorny , Rick just asked me the same thing about the huge church and no guests and then he said well it is Alan's wedding.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:56 PM
No guests unless you count Lizzie, who misses the drama and Bill playing drunk who was outside with Lizzie!
The church and the flowers were beautiful, but, no one is there. Apparently Alan's groupies deserted him too! Guess he really isn't proving anything to the people of Springfield since almost nobody showed up.
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:56 PM
That is the first time in forever that I didn't even realize the time and that the show was over. I love the previews for tomorrow.
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 10 2009, 03:59 PM
Alan just wants the headlines - he knew better than to expect a live crowd, LOL!
So Lizzie doesn't even know about Phillip yet? Man, I can't wait to watch!
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:00 PM
Today did go by fast, Wendy! I was kind of surprised it was over so quickly! Good soapy drama today. I loved how the scenes interspersed with each other and the camera work. The reactions of the characters and just everything! Today is a definite lighthouse show!
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:02 PM
Paula, Lizzie knows nothing, she was busy arguing with Bill and calling a cab for him. When she walks back in the church she finds Beth's bouquet laying in the aisle!
--------------------
Thornbirds Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:02 PM
That moment between Phillip and Beth was AMAZING! I've waited years for a scene just like that!
Also when they thought Beth was bleeding...so did I...I was like...My God, a miscarriage!
--------------------
smiley Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:04 PM
I loved the show today! It reminded me of the old days when I watched, before the internet and spoilers, when I would be on the edge of my parents' bed (because I had to watch on the upstairs television, so not to influence my younger brother!). I would be on the edge of my seat, just waiting for a big moment like Phillip walking into the church (but back then it would've been Roger grabbing Holly and kissing her or something).
I loved seeing lots of characters interacting with each other.
I also liked Lizzie's comment "Grandpa is up there with death and taxes!" Good witty writing and also such compelling acting today. Just great.
--------------------
dgct2 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:05 PM
Buzz should sue Cedars for just leaving Coop on the gurney like that. Buzz is right he's somebody's son. UGH that doctor oh well we didn't know who he was. I didn't realize that was a criterion in emergency car. Justin Deas rocked his scenes today when Buzz was telling Coop that he was there. Beth shivering in the corner as the others were watching Coop being worked on by Rick and Lillian really had my heart.
ITA the scenes with Beth and Phillip were gothic as they slowly walk to each other. Man Beth looked like she was heading to the gallows rather than a happy wedding.
Loved Phillip talking to Alan at the grave. That is going to be a very good scene tomorrow.
Overall a really good show. It went very quickly.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:09 PM
I love how Justin Deas went from the more light hearted scenes at the start of the show to the heavier stuff towards the end of the show. I can't imagine that the hospital staff wouldn't have at least checked for Coop's i.d. The guy is laying there semi concious and bleeding!
I loved the Phillip and Beth scene in the church! That was good!
Can't wait for tomorrow!

marinaskye Posted: Feb 10 2009, 04:23 PM
I could not believe any hospital would just leave someone lying there bleeding all over the floor. Cedars has really gone downhill since Ed left town.

intothelight Posted: Feb 10 2009, 08:45 PM
This show was great-what a mixture of emotion! Family bonding, anxiousness, hate, love, happy, sad, etc. This show had it all. And the dialog and one-liners were perfect. And Phillip and Beth
IVN would be so proud of BC in this story.

I must agree with everyone that Philip's return did not disappoint. Today's show really felt like GL

RM, your comment represents the sentiments of us all!
DGCT, great recap.
I also enjoyed reading the "streaming" comments all of you were making as the show was actually airing.
What a tremendous episode today. Interlocking storylines, drama, fine performances, and wit. What more could we ask for? MORE! And I am sure we won't be disappointed.

Great Phillip and Alan scene:
Phillip: It doesn't hurt anymore.
Alan: What?
Phillip: Where you SHOT me!
I love this show!
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 11 2009, 11:09 AM
Yes, that was funny! It really was great the way they mixed some truly humorous stuff like Buzz/Frank/Daisy before the truth was known, Lillian and Lizzie's sad but funny conversation about changing Beth's mind - love the look Lillian gave Lizzie! Alan's vows, Beth's response as to what she had to say to Alan, and even Phillip's comment at the end about it not hurting where Alan shot him. They were all emotional and yet humorous moments - filled in with all the drama of Coop's accident, the family's pain, his suffering (needlessly!) in the hospital, and of course the Beth sees Phillip scene.
Again, really, really, excellent episode!

I agree with all of you, fantastic show yesterday. Very exciting. Great writing and acting.
QUOTE
Why is everybody just walking past Coop in the hospital?
That must be part of the new realism they've brought to the show. That's exactly what would have happened at my local hospital.
My one nitpick with the episode was why would Phillip go to the mansion after dropping off Coop rather than across the street to Company to tell Buzz? He was calling information to get the phone number of Company to call, but he never called. I think they dropped the ball a bit there. Other than that, though, excellent episode.
That waiting room where Mallet and Marina were at the adoption agency is really the lobby area of the GL production offices. We sat there waiting for Ron Raines to meet us for our studio tour. When we were there that flat screen TV you saw on the wall showed what was currently being filmed.
--------------------
JaneW Posted: Feb 11 2009, 12:31 PM
Hi Minnie! I thought that Phillip tried to call Company, but Daisy was too busy decorating to answer the phone. I also thought that Phillip meant he stopped by the mansion, headed to the church, and THEN found Coop. I don't always pay attention, but that's how I interpreted the scene. Which still means he headed over to the church rather than Company to tell Buzz about his son . . . but hey, he had to interrupt the wedding!
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 11 2009, 12:32 PM
Minnie - they didn't drop the ball on that one - at first I thought it was odd, too, because the first time he said he went to the house it sounded like he went there after saving Coop. But the second time Phillip said he went to the house, he said they told him about the wedding, he was on his way to the church, THEN he saw the car and saved Coop - and then he continued on to the church.
I thought maybe Phillip continued to the church because he knew Rick was there or something, since he asked where RIck was when he was dropping Coop off in that fine medical establishment.
--------------------
stephw27 Posted: Feb 11 2009, 12:36 PM
I was under the impression that Phillip went to the mansion first, found Coop on the way to the church, took Coop to the hospital, called Company, but, noone answered (Daisy said whoever called would probably call back), then Phillip made his way to the church.
--------------------
wrdowen Posted: Feb 11 2009, 12:37 PM
Thanks , That's the way I saw it too.
Miinnie, It's really sad how many posts I've read saying that hospitals are like that in many places. That is scary.
--------------------
cihanl Posted: Feb 11 2009, 01:03 PM
Steph - that's what I heard too. Phillip probably didn't have any idea who else to call when no one answered at Company - from the look on his face, he's certainly not up with the happenings in Springfield!
--------------------
JaneW Posted: Feb 11 2009, 02:44 PM
Still he should have stopped by Company, it is across the street from Cedars! I think he just really needed to stop that wedding!
Dayna's In-depth Recap and Charleyfan's Clips: Episode 15608, February 10, 2009

Mallet and Marina arrive at the adoption agency. Marina knew they would call especially since Mallet and Marina were planning on getting away. They’ve been so stressed out the last bit. Lillian can’t believe that her daughter wants to marry Alan. Lizzie says that love is not a given for happiness. Alan has the right idea to take it where you can get it. Look at Beth’s record. She was married to Rick but he lied to her. Edmund locked Beth up in a tower. Phillip well they know how that ended. Beth is going with what she knows. You make the best of a bad situation with what you have. The programs for the wedding are really beautiful. Bill is brought more ginger ale by the waiter. Keep them coming in the champagne glasses. Previously - Buzz looks Coop in the basement, Alan tells Beth that she will say I do when the minister asks her, Bill finds Cyrus in Lizzie’s bedroom.
At Spaulding Lewis, Cyrus is working at his desk when Bill shows up. Bill is looking for Lizzie. Cyrus feigns not knowing who Bill is talking about. Bill leaves. Cyrus admits he knows who Bill was talking about. Cyrus says he can pencil Bill in for next week if he really needs to talk to Lizzie. Bill laughs. Cyrus says Bill could leave a message and Cyrus will make sure that Lizzie gets that. Just like he gets her coffee and such. Cyrus says he doesn’t mind that Lizzie is the boss. Cyrus’ manhood is intact. Bill says good as long as it is not elsewhere. Bill needs to see Lizzie. Cyrus suggests email. Cyrus hands Bill a brand spanking new business card. He just had them made up. Bill says that this communication is private. Cyrus says then even more he should make sure what is being said. Bill looks at Cyrus.
Lizzie enters the study at the Spaulding Mansion. Beth is in there putting away her law books in a box. Lizzie asks if the invitation is a joke. Beth says her daughter should be happy with the news of the impending nuptials. Beth came to her senses about Coop. Lizzie says then what was all that hogwash she was talking about Coop changing her life for the better. Beth says she was foolish and self indulgent. She realized the truth in time thank goodness. Alan means more to Beth then any meaningless fling or school. This is where Beth belongs by Alan’s side. Lizzie realizes that Alan figured out the truth.
Alan arrives at Cedars to find Rick. Rick tells Alan to just go home and rest whatever the problem is off. Actually instead he can keep the headache. That would be more perfect. Alan says it’s not a medical issue in fact it’s a reason to celebrate. Rick questions if he’s on candid camera right now. Alan and Beth are getting married today and Alan wants Rick to be his best man.
In Marina’s basement, Coop is yelling out at Alan from behind the locked door. Coop says that Alan can’t keep him away from Beth. Coop will find a way to be with her.
Buzz is sleeping at the boarding house when he is awaken by a figure - Jenna Bradshaw. Coop’s mother and Buzz’s wife who was murdered. Jenna has a message for her husband. Buzz touches her face to see if she is real. Buzz realizes that he is dreaming. Jenna tries to reassure Buzz. Buzz kisses and hugs his wife. Jenna says she is there to tell her husband that he’s being a horse’s ass where Coop is concerned.
“ Only love …..”
Back at Marina’s house, Coop is trying to break out of the basement from a window but no luck. He finds a lock box and then the key. He opens the lock box and pulls out a gun. Coop walks up the stairs and shoots the lock off the door. Coop rushes out to his red car which is sitting out front. He gets inside but the piece of junk will not start. Coop curses. He gets out and pops the hood. He finds out that the person pulled out his spark plugs. Coop says that this will not stop him. Coop says that there is not going to be any wedding today. Coop grabs the gun and takes off to stop Beth’s wedding.
At the boarding house, Buzz tells Jenna that this is not a dream it’s a nightmare instead. Jenna tells Buzz to get up. She’s not letting him go back to sleep. Buzz touches her face again. She is there. Coop was hell bent on seeing Beth. Jenna says that Coop loves Beth. Buzz says that Coop thinks he does. Jenna says that their son does love Beth. It’s not about thinking. Buzz says then somebody has to do the thinking for him and save him. Buzz says that Jenna should look and see how their boy has turned out. Jenna calls Coop their shining star. Buzz says that Coop has an incredible future. Jenna knows. She can see that. The book came from Coop’s heart. It’s filled with his love for Beth. He had a head until Beth came along and filled it up with ideas. Jenna questions why Coop can’t take a chance and roll the dice. See what happens. Buzz says she can’t do that. She can’t throw his words in his face. That’s what wives are supposed to do especially dead ones. If it was Buzz, he would go for broke and see what happens. Coop is their son. Buzz can’t let Coop make that mistake. Was Jenna a mistake? Buzz says that is not fair. Has Buzz ever regretted anything for taking a chance on love ? Love with Jenna. Never. Buzz kisses his wife passionately then awakens to realizing what he has to do.
