Some comments from the GLMP board January 7 Episode

Today was actually pretty good. (As I said, I will only comment when I have something positive to say. ) Not for nothing - today was good because it lacked that stupid kidnapping plot (no Bill or Lizzie) - and also it lacked the dead weight 3some - Grady, Ashlee and Daisy.

Good notable scenes were my gal, talking to her unborn baby.

Shane kirking out and saving Dinah!

Natalia blasting Alan! That was such an unexpected and good scene.

Lots of Coop, Beth, Buzz, Alan, Emma, Olivia, Natalia, Reva, Shayne, Jeffrey and Josh.

Enjoy!

Today wasn't too bad of a show. My highlights were the scenes Alan and Natalia, Alan and Emma, Natalia and Olivia, Dinah and Shayne, Josh and Shayne and Josh and Dinah. I also liked Beth standing up to the lawyer that she is shadowing. Go Beth!
I didn't mind Reva's convo with the baby via camcorder either. Jeffrey was bugging me though! Does he have to be oh so noble all of the time. Also, Reva's comment that he wished he was there when Ava was born kind of annoyed me. He had know idea Olivia was even pregnant and judging by the way his character used to be, he probably would have blown Liv off any way.

I think Jeffrey can have some regrets about not being there for his daughter back then. I'm not sure what Jeffrey would have done being the kid he was before. I'm not much of a fan of the new Jeffrey either. I liked the rascal he was when he first came to Springfield.

Loved Shayne and Dinah as always. Josh and Shayne were pretty good. I knew it was a woman that Shayne lost overseas. She's quite beautiful.

Loved O and Nat today with Emma. Loved Nat telling Alan off Sorry Tracey but I was wondering when someone was going to call Alan on totally forgetting Rafe. I know that's the writers but that's bugged me since Gus died. Loved little Emma figuring out that what makes her family unique is O and Nat working together. I'm loving their scenes together. The article should definitely get people's attention.

I liked Reva's speech to her unborn son. I totally get her biting her tongue at the birthing class. I did the same thing when I was pregnant with Kiera. Some parents just seem to think oh it's just another kid. Try telling that to a parent who didn't think they would ever get a chance. Every baby is a miracle especially when you are told it's not possible. Then it is a miracle. ( sorry for the rant but I got Reva there.)

Never thought I'd say this but I'm going to miss Coop. I loved him standing up to that weasel of a lawyer who was being snotty to Beth. Loved Beth telling him off later on. I hope Buzz can keep Company Good show overall especially since the annoying 3some was not there.

That little girl who plays Emma is adorable!
I thought Olivia was a hoot when Alan was talking with Emma! I will give her a free pass on the comments because God love Alan he is so inept when it comes to the family stuff. He tries so hard, but he just messes it up for himself. There is an opportunity there for a good story, but the writers are probably going to blow it. Why not have Alan admit that his avoidance of Rafe has something to do with his reminding him of Gus, etc.? Explore why Alan puts up the walls, do ignore it.

I was glad Beth stood up to the lawyer---but I would have rather had her get her strength from Alan and not the boy toy. When I look at Coop, I do not see the embodiment of power and strength....not to offend anyone, it is just that Coop has never been macho man.

Again, I think the writers missed the obvious opportunity to give Beth that strength and backbone when they didn't allow her to form a true alliance with Alan and fight for the family that she has been trying to hang onto (she is drawn to being a Spaulding and it has something to do with more than Phillip).

That was a great scene with Natalia and Alan! Natalia really let him have it! He hasn't even thought about Rafe in ages . . . he ignores Alan Michael, and only mentions Phillip sporadically (although that is going to change soon! ) and focuses all his energy on Lizzie and Beth and Peyton. Now he suddenly wants to take Emma under the Spaulding tent . . . good luck getting past Olivia and Natalia!

I did enjoy little Emma today! Her facial expressions really go with her lines, and her delivery is believable. Her expression when she was getting the idea about what is unique about her family was priceless! It sure isn't Grandpa Alan!

I'm not sure how I feel about Reva's scene talking to her unborn child. It was pretty predictable for Reva, and it was pure Reva, which Zimmer does so well, but it was perhaps a tad corny? At least she is good at corny!

(Typing about Reva always makes me miss Ivn's take on her scenes! It was like we were watching two different shows sometimes! )
