Dayna's In-depth Recap: Episode 15756, Thursday, September 10, 2009

Part 1



The Spaulding family waits for news about Alan and Phillip. Lizzie says that they both have to make it. She can't imagine a world without either of them. Rick walks out and says that the procedure is over. They both went through it great. They just have to see now if Phillip's body will accept the new marrow. They will also have to monitor Alan. The family will be able to talk to them soon. They just have to get through the next bit but they should be fine.

Daisy finds James outside listening to his music. He's not sure about news yet about his dad. Daisy says it's great that James wanted to volunteer to help his dad. James still could have but Alan was also a match. Phillip let Alan do it. Alan is an old man. He could die during this. James doesn't want to lose him. He's a strong kid. He would have fared better. Daisy is glad that James didn't take the chance. She doesn't want to lose him.

Reva, Jonathon and Josh play with the kids. Jonathon says it's time to tell Lizzie if he's staying in town. Reva says that there is no time like the present. Reva calls Lizzie. Lizzie tells her that she's at Cedars. Phillip just came out of surgery. They found a cure. Alan was a match. He risked his life to save Phillip. Reva is impressed Alan would do that. He took a huge risk. They are all just waiting on results.

Doris sees Olivia and at Company. She told Ashlee the truth but Ashlee walked away. Doris has not seen her since the other day. Olivia tells Doris to let Ashlee come to her. Doris agrees and leaves to wait in her office.

Ashlee and Rafe eat sandwiches together in the gazebo. They can have a " Our Moms Are Lesbians Club " They can even invite the new baby. Ashlee suggests that they set up their moms as a couple. Rafe says that his mom is already with Olivia. Olivia likes women. Rafe says yes and she cares about Natalia. Ashlee says that they would make a great couple.

Blake, Frank and Natalia are still searching for a baby name when Olivia shows up. Everything is almost ready. Blake and Frank look over. Natalia explains that Olivia and Emma are moving back home to the Farmhouse. Blake and Frank are happy for them. It will all turn out good. The easy part is moving in. The hard part will be telling Emma about them.

Part 2



Buzz walks out carrying boxes from the Cooper house. He sees Billy there. Billy needs help writing his wedding vows. Buzz says to say it form his heart. Billy has no clue. He just wants to make Vanessa happy. He can help Buzz move boxes if Buzz will help him write the vows. Buzz says deal.

Alan and Phillip are in bed. Alan tells his son not to make him do that again. The needle was huge. Phillip says all he saw was the needle then lights were out for him. Phillip remarks that they are both pretty tough to kill. Rick walks in to check their vitals. How do they feel? Tired and sore. That is the drugs. They are both doing really good. Phillip is thankful to be alive. Rick says don't thank him. Thank his dad. Phillip looks at his dad.

Jonathon arrives at Tammy's grave. He's sorry he wasn't back sooner. He had to take care of Sarah. He also has to watch over Reva as well. He's not sure which of them needs his help more. Jonathon says he will be around a lot more now that he's moving back to Springfield. Sarah needs her family. It's the right thing to do. Jonathon asks Tammy to watch over them. Jonathon still misses his wife.

Reva and Josh play with Henry, Colin and Sarah. Josh warns the boys about women. You will never understand them. Reva says Josh is good as a grandpa as he plays with Henry. Reva asks what they should call him. What did Daisy call her grandma? Reva shakes her head. Josh says that these kids will be teenagers soon. Reva says she knows. Josh and Reva continue to play with the kids.

Daisy sees Ashlee and Rafe at the gazebo. What are they doing there? A bonding moment over their moms being lesbians. Ashlee just found out. Rafe has known for a bit. Ashlee found out yesterday. So what is she doing there? Ashlee couldn't deal with Doris so she left. She just left? How does Doris feel? Is Ashlee ashamed of her mom? No. She's just ticked that Doris didn't tell her sooner. Daisy enlightens Ashlee as to what it must have looked like to Doris if she walked away. Ashlee realizes she better go see her mom. Ashlee leaves. Daisy sits by Rafe. He doesn't want to talk.

Emma sits on the bed as Natalia and Olivia look at her. They have some really good news. They are all moving back into the farmhouse together. Emma is excited. Olivia says that there is more. When they do move in, Olivia and Natalia will be a couple. They love each other very much. Natalia will be Emma's mom as well. Emma says that she already is. Emma is cool with that. Does it mean that the baby will be her little sister? Natalia says of course. Emma listens to the baby as she hugs Natalia.

Part 3



Rafe arrives with help for the move for Natalia and Olivia. He can't let them do the work all alone. Frank will grab some boxes. Blake is happy to help as well. Olivia tells Natalia that she can still back out. She's not planning on doing that.

Doris is looking at a picture of Ashlee when Ashlee walks in. Ashlee is not ashamed of her mom. She's ticked off that Doris did not confide in her. She's ticked off that Doris thought she would judge her for being gay. Ashlee would never do that. She's the last person to judge. She wishes Doris hadn't been so harsh on her growing up. They could have shared this. Ashlee says though she wants a new start. She wants them to start to get to know each other now.

Olivia sees Jonathon in the mini mart. What is he doing there? Getting a coffee. He came back to see Reva after the news about Jeffrey. Jonathon and Sarah are planning on staying. What is Olivia doing there? She's moving in with her best friend Natalia into Cassie's old farmhouse. She has to go though. Olivia hugs and kisses her nephew.

Buzz and Billy work on the vows. Nothing sounds right. Buzz tells Billy to speak from his heart. What is wrong? Buzz is worried. Lillian is at the hospital with the rest of the Spauldings waiting on news about Alan and Phillip. Billy is impressed that Alan is doing that. Billy and Buzz agree to go over to Cedars.

All are waiting at Cedars when Rick comes out. They are out of the woods. Alan and Phillip will be fine. Everyone is happy. Family can go and see them.

Part 4



Alexandra is happy to see her brother. Alan laughs. She's probably surprised that her brother is alive. They both laugh. He made it back and saved Phillip as well. Alan questions about his son. Alexandra hasn't seen him yet. She wanted to see her little brother first. Alan is thankful that she was there watching out for him. Alexandra says that is what a big sister does. Alexandra kisses Alan.

Lizzie sees her dad. She knew that he would be alright. She had a good feeling about it. Is he really o.k? He's fine. Just a bit tired and sore. How are they out there? Bill is taking care of all of them. Alexandra was trying not cry. Lillian was watching out over Beth. Lizzie is not sure that Beth would have survived if something had happened to Phillip. She's glad that he's o.k. Lizzie is hopeful about her parents.

Jonathon arrives outside of Cedars and asks about Alan. James overhears him and asks why he cares. Jonathon says he's an old friend of Alan's. He just wanted to check on him. James says that his grandfather will be fine. Does Jonathon want James to tell Alan that he was there? Jonathon says no as he leaves.

Reva and Josh play with the kids at Company. Josh says that he will never fit into his suit if he eats all this ice cream. He will be fine. The wedding is not for a bit. He gets to as a Grandpa. Jonathon arrives and says Phil and Al will be fine. Jonathon wants his mom as backup when he takes Sarah to see her mother. Josh says he'll be fine watching over the little ones. Reva and Jonathon leave. Josh looks at the kids and asks what they are looking at as he eats a scoop of ice cream.

Part 5



Everyone works on bringing boxes into Natalia and Olivia's place as Olivia directs traffic. Frank walks out he didn't break a thing. Natalia asks everyone to stay. She wants to make dinner for them. They will need to pass the time. Rafe says if he had more mitts they could play softball. Frank has some in his car. Frank and Rafe choose their teams. Josh shows up. He heard about moving day. Rafe says his mom can't play so he will take Josh on his team.

James and Alan chat in his hospital room. James got all these applications for Alan's phone. One to show the stock market. Another for weather. There is Youtube but Alan is probably too young for that. James admits he was afraid that his granddad would not make it. Alan says he was as well. He'll be fine. He'll be playing Frisbee in no time. James can show him a new move. Alan says let him get out of the hospital first. How do you work this phone? James shows his grandfather.

Frank, Lillian and Billy chat at the Cooper house. Alan and Phillip are both in recovery and doing fine. Lillian has to head back to the hospital to see them. Billy still doesn't know what to say. Speak from his heart. Frank asks if Lillian is alright. She was just thinking how lucky they are to have each other. Lillian leaves. Frank and Billy both agree with that. Buzz walks over. Billy says that they are both lucky men. At the end of the day they will all be alright.

Beth looks at Phillip. He loves seeing her smile. He hopes she didn't take out more insurance since it looks like he's going to make it. Beth curses there goes the home in Hawaii. Beth sits by Phillip. They are all fine. Rick is acting outside like he's the one who came up with the idea. Beth and Phillip laugh at Rick's expense. He was afraid that he would never see her again. He's such a stubborn man. Beth and Phillip look longingly into each others eyes.

Lizzie and Bill are relaxing at home. Lizzie wonders how they can do that since the family is at Cedars. Bill says it's fine. Reva shows up then along with Jonathon and Sarah. Lizzie rushes to her daughter. Jonathon introduces Sarah to her mommy. Lizzie and Sarah hug.

Part 6



Lizzie remarks that Sarah is so beautiful. Lizzie is so happy to see her daughter again. She thought about Sarah all the time. She wants to show Sarah the house. Jonathon says that is fine. Lizzie and Sarah walk away. Bill asks when Jonathon got back? Yesterday. He wanted to wait till Lizzie got news about Alan and Phillip. So how long this time? He can't keep walking out on Lizzie. Jonathon is planning on staying for good. What is the plan? They will all figure it out together. Bill and Jonathon shake hands.

Alan and Phillip are in the same room. How feel? Awake now. They both didn't die. Phillip thanks his dad. Alan says your welcome.

The baseball game happens. James and Daisy hug each other. James passes on the good news about Alan and Phillip. James has to get into the game. Natalia is too pregnant to play. Rafe calls Olivia telling her to get back to the team.

Dayna's In-depth Recap: Episode 15755, Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Part 1



Olivia is working in her office when Natalia shows up. She has a baby naming book. She wants to figure out a name since they know the baby is a girl. Olivia thinks that is a good idea. Natalia suggests that she, Frank and Olivia all put together lists of names they like. They will then all compare. The common names will be put on another list and they can narrow it down from there. Olivia is surprised that Natalia wants her opinion on what to name the baby. Olivia wants to take things slowly. Natalia questions when Olivia has ever done that. She did last time and she got her heart broken. Natalia says true but she they also never would have found each other if they hadn't jumped in.

Blake and Frank look at the sonogram picture of his daughter. Blake says that this little girl is so lucky to have Frank as a dad. Frank just wants to do the right thing by his little girl. Frank has no clue what is right now. Blake says that Frank has the hugest heart. He is going to be so wonderful. Reva walks in then and calls Frank Grandpa. Frank returns the favor and calls Reva grandma. Reva hopes that this will not become weird since Henry is now both a Cooper and a Lewis. Frank says he's fine with it. Shayne is a great guy. Reva says Shayne will be an incredible dad to his son. It's just going to take them all a bit adjust to the new family dynamics. She doesn't want any fighting. Frank says that is no problem. Henry has two great families to love and support him. It's all that Reva wants as well. Reva asks who is going to spoil Henry the most. Frank says he's going to be the most broke detective around since he's got a grandson and a new daughter on the way. Reva says congratulations. Reva gets it. She was thinking she would be playing with her grandchildren now and she's a mom again to Colin. Reva would not change any of it.

Josh is working at Lewis when he sees a little girl. Sarah says hi. Josh asks where Sarah's parents are. Jonathon walks in and says that dad is right here. Josh then realizes who the little girl is. Jonathon introduces Sarah to Grandpa Joshua. Josh is surprised to see them. Josh asks how long they will be around. Does Reva know? Not this time. This time? Jonathon was around last week when he heard about what happened to Jeffrey. He wanted to keep an eye on his mom. Josh says that Reva is doing better. Jonathon knows that he can ask Josh for a straight answer. Jonathon and Sarah are considering making Springfield their home. Is it safe for Sarah?

Lizzie and Bill rush in to Cedars asking about Phillip. They were called. Beth, Alexandra and James arrive next. Rick and Lillian walk out. Phillip is being prepped for surgery. They found a donor. Who is it? Alan. Everyone is shocked. James asks why he couldn't do it. Alan made the choice to do it. Phillip agreed. James wants to see his father now.

Phillip and Alan prepare for surgery. Phillip tells his dad that he can change his mind and stop this. Alan says he's not going to chicken out this time. He's right where he wants to be. Phillip is not sure how to say thank you to to his dad. Alan knows. He knows how much Phillip loves him. Alan feels the same way.

Part 2



Rick tells the Spauldings that the procedure has a 50/50 chance of working. It's the first time this has been done. There is a chance this could save Phillip's life. Alan is the best shot at that. Alan wanted to do this. Rick says that all of them can see Phillip and Alan before the surgery. James wants to see his father. James walks in and sees Phillip. James is glad that his dad is doing this. James asks why Phillip agreed to Alan and not James? James want to do this. Phillip knows that but he loves his son. He was not going to let this happen. Why let Alan? It's a different reason. James hugs his dad. Lizzie walks in and sees Alan. She can't believe that her grandfather is doing this. Alan tells his granddaughter not to listen to the doctors. He will be fine. He will see all of them later. Lizzie doesn't want to lose him. Lizzie hugs Alan and calls him brave for doing this.

Jonathon and Josh talk about Sarah. She's so beautiful. They make a good team but Sarah needs a home. She can't have play dates or picnics when they are on the run. She needs her mother as well. Is Alan still a threat? Josh is not 100% sure but Alan has not done any crazy stuff since Phillip came home. There have been no incidents. The whole Lewis family will keep Sarah safe from him if anything were to happen.

Reva and Blake are talking. Reva is so excited that Colin and Henry are going to grow up together. Henry is loved by so many people. Blake says that Reva seems better now. Reva says that she's past her crazy phase. She had pictures around. Blake did as well. Reva says she had pictures all over the house in all the rooms. She had a picnic in her wedding dress on the floor with the pictures. Reva says that she feels better. She's grateful for that. She knows that she could slip back into that trouble again. Blake tells Reva that she will get through.

Olivia and Natalia are talking about baby names for their daughter. She's really kicking up a storm. Natalia lets Olivia feel the baby move. Olivia saw the sonogram but she doesn't want too much to quick. Natalia says that Olivia will be a mother to their daughter as well. Their daughter will be arriving soon so Olivia better hurry and catch up.

Part 3



Phillip sees Bill next. There are a lot of people he wants to see but Bill was next for a reason. Phillip knows that there is a good chance that he and Alan could both die during the procedure. Bill tries to stop Phillip. Phillip says that if the worse happens he needs to know that the family is taken care of. Bill says he will always take care of Lizzie. Phillip asks for Bill to watch out for the rest of the Spaulding clan as well. He knows that it's a lot to ask. Bill says that they are his family as well so of course he will watch over all of them. Phillip has to make it though. He's planning on it.

James sees Alan next sleeping in his bed. Alan calls out to his grandson saying that he is awake. When did Alan find out that he was a match? A couple of days ago. Alan did not jump at it right away like James. Alan was scared. Alan says that if you don't admit you are scared with something like this then you are lying. The doctors say that there is a good chance that Alan may not make it. James does not want to lose his grandfather. James would miss Alan so much. Alan says he plans on sticking around. He has a good relationship with his grandson and plans on keeping it that way. James better not count out his granddad yet.

Alexandra is shopping at the mini mart when Olivia sees her. Alan is getting ready for surgery. Did he have another heart attack? Alan is a match for Phillip so he's going to do a dangerous procedure to try and save his life. Olivia is impressed. Alexandra says her brother is a champ for doing this. Olivia asks if Alexandra needs anything. Nothing. They all just have to wait to see what happens. Alexandra is getting some stuff to pass the time. Olivia asks Alexandra to call her with the news for Emma's sake. Alexandra says of course. Alexandra and Olivia hug.

Reva is playing with Colin. See not everyone thinks that she is crazy. People do different stuff when they are sad. She will get through this. They will never forget Jeffrey but Jeffrey would want them to move on with their lives.

Jeffrey is waiting in New York with a gun for Edmund. Edmund gets out of the car. Jeffrey takes a pot shot and misses. Edmund rushes into a warehouse. He tells his contact to keep an eye on everyone in Springfield. He wants to be notified when Jeffrey contacts Reva. Jeffrey shoots and misses Edmund again. Edmund is enjoying their cat and mouse game. He wondered when Jeffrey would show up. Jeffrey says he's not stalking Edmund. He is trying to kill him. Edmund knows that it's what makes it so much fun. They could keep on doing this as long as Reva doesn't find out that he is alive. He has a whole computer set up to watch the people of Springfield. He knows more about those hypocrites then they do themselves. Edmund says he'd love to continue to chat but he really must go.

Reva hears a noise outside. She then tells Josh to come in. Josh has a present for her. Jonathon brings Sarah in. Reva remarks on how beautiful her granddaughter looks.

Part 4



Reva talks with Jonathon. She remarks that Sarah's hair is so beautiful. Jonathon did it for her. Reva is impressed. Jonathon may have a skill in this field. Reva has some toys in the other room for Colin. They may be too big for him but they may be just right for Sarah. Jonathon tells Sarah it's fine to go see the toys. Reva loves seeing her granddaughter. How long is the visit this time? Jonathon asks what his mom would think if he moved back to Springfield. They can't keep on going on the run.

Olivia and Josh run into each other at the Beacon. How is her life? Crazy. Phillip is sick. Josh heard. How is Emma? Sad but hopeful. How is Josh's life? Josh smiles and says he's a grandpa. Henry is his grandson. Long story but Shayne is Henry's father. Olivia congratulates Josh. How is her life with Natalia? Natalia is having a baby girl. Are they getting back together? Olivia is not sure. Josh tells her to go for it. She loves Natalia. Natalia loves her. Just do it and be happy.

Rick tells everyone that it will be soon. It could take two hours for the surgery. Bill offers to go get some grub from Company. Beth offers to go. Bill says he will take James with him. Beth can go see Philip then. Alexandra wants to see her brother.

Alexandra walks in and sees Alan. Where has she been? She was worried and wanted to make sure that the kids were settled. Alan says before he dies he wants some closure. Alexandra has been there from the very start. Alan adores his sister. Alex loves her little brother. What he is doing now is so heroic. Alan just hopes that it works and saves his son. Alexandra hopes so as well. Alan has a request from his sister. If worse comes to worse. Alan has a will. He wants his family together when they scatter his ashes. They can all talk about him. He wants them to all know how much he loved them very much. Alexandra needs to promise to keep his wishes. She will. Alan says good.

Beth sees Phillip. He wanted to squeeze her in as well. She hopes this will work. He hopes it will not kill Alan. Nothing has so far. Phillip either. Phillip says that this may have a good shot of doing it. They have beaten the odds before a couple of times. Beth sobs. Phillip reassures her. He tells her that he knew that he was dying when he kissed her at the Bauer BBQ. He also knew at that moment that nothing could ever separate them again. He still loves her. He knows that he's screwed up a lot in this life but if he makes it through this he wants a life with her. He wants Beth back in his life. Rick comes in then and tells Phillip it's time. Phillip looks at Beth as he leaves.

Part 5



The Spaulding family waits for news as Bill brings in food. They have it if they need it. Rick mooches a sandwich. Beth sits with Lillian. How was it? Beth says that Phillip was more like himself. Beth is furious that Lillian never told her the truth. She had a right to know the truth. Lillian says she was treating Phillip as her patient. Beth says that is no excuse. She could have taken care of Phillip the last couple of weeks. Lillian says it was the hardest thing she has ever done lying to her daughter. She begged Phillip to tell his family the truth. Phillip was so proud of Beth and what she had become. He didn't want the family to lose who they were because he was sick. He wanted things to remain normal. Lillian begged him over and over to tell.

Lizzie and James sit beside each other. James admits that he's pissed off that Alan is risking his life to save Phillip. James should be the one. Lizzie tells her brother that he already saved one life. He used up all of his chances. There is no point wasting energy on anger. They have to be there for the family through this. Lizzie eats a sandwich.

Reva is playing with Colin when Jonathon's phone rings. It's Jeffrey. Jonathon calls Jeffrey Aubrey. He's just hanging out with mom and his cute little brother. Jeffrey says he got close to Edmund but he got away. Edmund is having everyone watched in Springfield. Jonathon has to keep an eye on everyone. Jonathon will do just that. Jonathon has to go. Reva says it's sweet that Aubrey called. How is she? She's good.

Natalia, Frank and Blake all work on baby names. Natalia has decided to start from the start of the alphabet and go through the names. If they find one they like it goes on the list. Frank suggest waiting until their daughter is born to name her. Natalia and Blake say that is not happening. Frank suggests a Greek name but that is no go. Olivia arrives then. She hopes she is not too late. So she's going to be there? Olivia says she hopes they have not started without her.

Reva is holding Colin. Josh is holding Henry. Jonathon is holding Henry. The next generation of cousins can all meet each other. Josh says that Colin is their uncle. Reva says that is just too weird. Reva introduces Jonathon to Shayne's son Henry. Jonathon had no clue. Things have changed in a couple of weeks. Shayne didn't know he was a dad until a couple of weeks ago. Reva asks if Jonathon still wants to be stuck in Springfield. He wouldn't be here if he didn't. Jonathon suggests that they lay out a blanket with one cookie and have a free for all with the kids. Reva says no there will be three cookies.

Olivia and Natalia are going over names. Frank gets a call from the station. He goes to take the call. Natalia tells Olivia that she wants her and Emma to move back home to the farmhouse tonight. Olivia is not sure. Natalia tells her to just say yes. Olivia says yes. Olivia and Natalia are caressing when Frank comes back. Chief Wolfe just quit. Frank is the new Chief. The ladies tell the baby the news about Frank.

The Spaulding family sits and waits on news about Phillip and Alan.

Previews



The Spaulding family begins the long wait at Cedars for news on Alan and Phillip. Jonathon says that he wants to tell Lizzie about Sarah. Reva says that there is no time like the present. Doris tells Olivia that she told Ashlee the other day that she's a lesbian. Doris has not heard from Ashlee since. What does she do now?

Dayna's In-depth Recap: Episode 15754, Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Part 1

Reva is getting birthday decorations together for Henry's first birthday when she hears a familiar knock at the door. Reva tells Josh to just come in. Josh says he wants to show her the present he got for Henry. Reva picks up Colin and heads outside. Reva is shocked to find out that Josh picked out exactly the same rocking horse that she did for Henry.

Marina is working on putting up decorations for Henry's birthday when Shayne knocks on the door. Marina tells Shayne he doesn't have to knock anymore. He doesn't have to do it today of all days on their son's birthday. Where is Henry? He's asleep upstairs in his crib. Marina wanted him to sleep a bit longer so he would not be a cranky birthday boy. Marina shows Shayne all the decorations. Reva and Josh are bringing over more later. Marina realizes she did not leave anything for Shayne to do. She should have consulted him. Did he want to have the party elsewhere? Shayne says that the Cooper house is fine. This is Henry's home. Shayne can help tape up the birthday banner. Marina goes to get tape. She opens the drawer. She is saddened when she sees Mallet's badge.

Mallet chats with the director of the agency in Europe. Mallet has a new assignment out in the middle of the boonies. Nobody knows where it is. It's just a one man job. Mallet will need GPS to find his way. Mallet thanks the director for the job.

Buzz and Frank bring in a box of goodies into Company. Frank says that there is a lot of stuff. Buzz says that there is food for the people at Henry's birthday. There is also secret gifts for everyone. Frank questions if they should just postpone the birthday for Marina's sake. Henry doesn't know what is happening. Buzz questions if Frank doesn't think that his daughter is up to it. Buzz says that the Cooper clan will support her. They all have to move on with their lives. Frank leaves. Lillian arrives. Buzz is surprised to see her with everything that is happening to Phillip. Lillian says she's rather be involved in the Cooper craziness then the Spaulding sadness. The first birthday of a grandchild is good news. There is nothing they can do for Phillip since there is no match yet. Buzz says that Alan is a match. Lillian is shocked. Buzz tells Lillian to forget what he mentioned.

Alan and Phillip talk outside of Cedars. Alan questions if his son heard him correctly. Alan is a match. Alan can be the donor and save his son. Phillip says he told the same thing to James as well. Phillip is not going to let anybody in the family risk their lives to save him. Alan wants to do this. He admits he was scared when he found out but not anymore. He wants to save his son. Phillip says that this is not about his dad.

Part 2



Alan and Phillip talk outside of Cedars. Alan questions if Phillip heard him right. Phillip says that Alan does not have to make a great gesture to show that he's a great dad. Alan says look at the chances. They are not biologically related yet Alan is a match. The chances of that happening are very rare. There is a reason it happened. Phillip is not going to let this happen. It's just Phillip's time to die now. No one is going to save him. It's just not going to happen.

Lillian sees Daisy putting together a package of food. The sandwiches are for the workers at Bill and Lizzie's place. Lillian tells Daisy that she is worried about James. James is having a really hard time dealing with the news. He wants to help but Phillip is not letting him. James is very angry about that. James is so brave and stubborn just like his father. Lillian asks Daisy to keep an eye on James. Daisy is trying to do that.

Buzz is working when Cyrus walks in. Cyrus has a package that he wants Buzz to give Henry at the party. Buzz tells Cyrus to give it himself. Cyrus says he's not going. Buzz says that is not happening. Cyrus is a Cooper now. Coopers go to family events so Cyrus better be there. Buzz needs some help getting the food ready. Cyrus goes to pick up food. Buzz tells his son to go wash his hands first. Cyrus leaves.

Reva and Josh laugh about the two rocking horses. Reva says it's obvious. Josh is just going to have to take his back. Reva has decorations and other stuff to do. She has no time to go back to the store and get a new gift. Josh says that they can just figure out a new gift. since he's giving the rocking horse to his first grandson. Reva grumbles and agrees to head out. Josh will have to work on decorations then. They can talk to Marina and Shayne and find out if Henry needs anything. Reva says that they will have to get more wrapping paper as well if she has to buy a new gift.

Marina, Henry and Shayne all work on decorations for the party. Shayne says it looks good. Henry is going to be a ballplayer just like his dad. The phone rings. Shayne answers saying that his is Henry's happy birthday party. Mallet is there. Mallet asks to talk to Henry. Marina tells Henry that this is his...friend. Mallet says it's great to talk to Henry. He made it to his first birthday.. Mallet is sorry he could not be there. Mallet asks Henry to watch over his mother. Marina is fighting back the tears after hearing Mallet's voice. It becomes to much and she leaves the room. All Mallet hears is a dial tone.

Part 3



Bill and Lizzie are eating breakfast in their house. Lizzie asks if Bill is going to fix the weird spot under the master bedroom window. Bill says no. Why? Lizzie says it looks hideous. They need to test paint colors. Bill asks if they should go to Henry's party. Lizzie is not sure with everything that is happening with Phillip. Phillip walks in and tells the kids to go. Lizzie is worried about her dad. What is he doing here? He was hoping on doing some work. Lizzie disagrees in his condition. She thinks it might be too risky. Phillip says that is one the things with dying. Risk kind of goes out the window. He tells Lizzie and Bill to go to the party. Life goes on. Phillip tells Bill to make sure that his wife goes.

Shayne and Henry are playing when Josh comes in. Shayne says hi to Grandpa or would that be grandpy? Josh doesn't go for that. Reva and Josh are having gift issues. Is there something that Henry needs? Shayne says he needs a mitt. He's a little young. Josh says he likes all the baseball decorations. Josh used those when Shayne was a baby. Shayne is having a great time. Josh asks if Shayne has considered the coaching job at the local high school. Shayne will consider it. Shayne has a lot on his plate right now. It's the first time in a long time that his life feels complete and settled. Shayne says the big reason for that is his son. Josh knows that Shayne is going to be a great dad. Josh remarks on how ironic is that Shayne never would have known about his son if it wasn't for Dinah. Shayne is uncomfortable but picks up his son. He says he has the best thing is his life right here.

Alan is walking in the park when Lillian sees him. She knows that he's a match for Phillip. She also knows that Phillip will not let it happen. He's too proud. Lillian says that Alan is so brave for wanting to do it. She says that there may be hope for Alan yet.

Phillip is working at Bill and Lizzie's house when Daisy shows up with the food. She was going to give it to the workers. Phillip says good since he is hungry. She will just leave it inside. Daisy tells Phillip she's sorry that he's dying. Phillip is as well. He's going to miss all of them. James is heartbroken no matter what he says to his dad. He says the opposite of what he's feeling. Does that make sense? Phillip gets that. Phillip is glad that Daisy showed up.

Part 4



Reva and Josh both return to Cross Creek at the same time. Reva found another gift. A baseball mitt and an outfit. They both can give that and the rocking horse together. Josh says that is fine. He can help with the rest of the gifts. Josh goes to open the back of her car. Reva tells him no as Josh lets a ton of balloons go from the back. Josh is able to capture a couple before the take off.

Alan is walking in the park when he sees the balloons. He's fascinated with them.

Shayne is holding Henry when Frank walks in. Frank says that the birthday boy is getting so big. It's a big day for both families. Frank notices the baseball theme. Marina went a bit crazy with it. Frank tells Shayne that he's doing a good job. He's a good man for stepping up and being a dad to his kid. Frank knows that it's tough. Frank says he's about to have a kid with Natalia. They are going to welcome the baby into a very unconventional family as well. Shayne thanks Frank as they shake hands. Marina comes down wearing a beautiful dress. Frank says his daughter looks beautiful. Shayne passes Henry to his mom. Is Henry ready for this?

Alan continues to follow the balloons. He runs into Bill and Lizzie. They ask if Alan is alright. Alan says he needs to walk. Does he need the car? He's fine. Bill and Lizzie should go to the party. Alan leaves. Lizzie says this is so hard with her dad. She's glad she has Bill by her side. Bill says she does. They can check on Alan afterwords.

Mallet sees a figure stranded by a car on the side of road. Mallet goes to help and is shocked to see Dinah standing there.

Alan sees the balloons in the graveyard. He walks up to Phillip's headstone. Alan tells Phillip he can't lose him when he's so close to changing. Alan gets it finally what Phillip was talking about. Phillip who is on the other side of grave stone listens to his dad's plea. Alan says he's been a selfish man his whole life because he's been afraid. He's been afraid to lose the ones he loves. Alan loves his son. Alan knows that he's not been the dad that Phillip has deserved to have. Alan pushed him when was younger to succeed. When he did succeed, Alan was paranoid that he would lose all of his power. Here Phillip is facing his own mortality and instead of being scared he's embracing it. Alan feels like his son has already crossed over. Alan wants to do that as well. He wants to become that better man that Phillip sees in him. Alan wants to change. Alan didn't have the courage to do it before but he does now. He wants to risk it all to be the dad that he should have been. He needs this chance to save his son so he can be the man he was always meant to be. If he loses Phillip, Alan loses himself as well. Phillip brushes the tears away and comes out. Alan looks at his son.

Part 5



Lillian, Frank, Josh and Reva all arrive at Marina's place. Frank asks Lillian if she wants to be here with everything that is happening with Phillip. Reva asks what is happening. Josh says that they will find out. Lillian tells Josh and Reva that Phillip is dying. He only has a couple of days. There is nothing that he doctors can do for him. Reva and Josh are stunned and heartbroken by the news. They should all head in to the birthday.

Mallet is stunned to see Dinah in Austria. What is she doing there? Dinah's car broke down. This is where she has landed for now. Why is he there? This is where he landed as well for his new job. He's not working with the SPD anymore? No he's back with the agency. How is Marina dealing with that? Mallet tells Dinah that he's not with Marina anymore. Dinah asks how that can be. Mallet and Marina were meant to be. Mallet says maybe they were not. Mallet tells Dinah remember how she said she screws up everything. Mallet says that thanks to Dinah everyone is where they are supposed to be. Dinah let Mallet go so he could be with Marina when she needed him. She found Shayne in Germany . She convinced Shayne to come home when nobody else could do that. Dinah made Shayne walk again. Dinah found a good mother and home for Henry when he needed it. She found out that Shayne was Henry's father. She told Shayne when he was ready for the news. Shayne can now be a dad to his son. Mallet says that they are all where they are supposed to be. Mallet as well.

Lillian sees Cyrus pouring some punch at the party. Was that for her? Of course. Where is Buzz? Buzz put the food in Cyrus' car and left. Just then Buzz walks in dressed as a clown. Everyone is shocked.

Part 6



Shayne and Marina help Henry blow out his cake. Daisy gets everyone's attention. Buzz the clown wants them all to take one of the packages. Inside are wishing chocolates. They are to give the chocolate to someone and make a wish. Shayne tells Marina he hopes that everyday is like today. Marina tells Shayne she didn't think it would be alright again but it is. They are all in a good place.

Mallet says he's not much of a mechanic but he was able to fix the car enough so she can get to her next stop. Mallet says he's looking for this little town. Dinah says it's a couple of miles down the road. How long will he be there? Mallet is not sure. Where is Dinah going? Dinah is not sure. Some days she has a plan other days not. She just drives and stops when she's feels like she is supposed to. What made her stop today? The car. What made him stop? Trying to figure out his GPS. Dinah has no clue where she is headed next. Choices in life lead you to where you are supposed to be. Dinah says she's felt unsettled since she left Springfield. Mallet say she will figure out where she is going. Mallet hopes he will see Dinah soon. Mallet and Dinah hug.

Cyrus looks at Frank and hands him a chocolate as Buzz watches with baited breathe. Cyrus suggests a peace offering. Frank agrees to wish peace for Cyrus as well. Buzz hugs both of his sons. Cyrus and Frank laugh. Reva and Josh pull out their chocolate. They have good things in their lives right now. They things they do not have they do not have. Josh and Reva exchange chocolates. Bill and Lizzie have a lot to wish for. Bill wants to finish the house. Lizzie wants Sarah back. She also wants to have a new baby with Bill. Bill says they need some alone time then. Bill and Lizzie kiss. It will all work out.

Mallet walks away down the road. He turns back and calls out Dinah's name.

Lillian sees Buzz. He is the most incredible man. Look what he did for his grandson. She wishes that Phillip would be cured. Buzz and Lillian hug.

Phillip is sorry but he can't let his dad risk his life like that to save him. Phillip is not that selfish. Phillip says Alan does not have to prove anything. Alan wants to take this step. Phillip needs to let his dad do this. Alan has to stay alive to take care of the family. Alan asks how Philip expects Alan to go on if Alan hasn't tried everything in the book to save his son's life. Alan says that he needs to do this. He's lacked courage all of his life until now. Let Alan do this. Phillip through tears agrees. Alan hugs his son. Can Alan have a balloon? No. Phillip is pretty ungrateful since Alan is going to save his life. It hasn't happened yet.
